Naming a Deputy (dept)
A Clan's Deputy is a cat who is second-in-command to the leader. In order for a warrior to qualify for the deputy position, s/he must have mentored at least one apprentice.
Typical Deputy Responsibilities Include:
» Calling Clan meetings if the leader is absent
» Standing in at Gatherings if the leader is ill
» Organizing daily patrols and
» Overseeing the training of apprentices.
Deputies Stop Being Deputies If...
»» The Clan leader dies.
»» The Deputy retires to the Elders' Den.
»» The Deputy is banished.
»» The Deputy dies/is killed in battle.

Naming Apprentices (appr)
When a kit becomes six [ 6 ] moons old, they gain the ceremonial 'paw suffix.
i.e. Fallenkit → Fallenpaw
The apprentice is then given a mentor, who must hold at least two, page-long training sessions a month. More is encouraged if you have the time.
Typical Apprentice Responsibilities Include:
» Tending to elders as well as
» Training to hunt, fight, and patrol.

To Become a Warrior
→ An apprentice must have three [ 3 ] training threads that focus on basic fighting skills, three [ 3 ] that focus on advanced battle skills, three [ 3 ] on hunting, and take part in at least three [ 3 ] patrols.
» This means your character will be an apprentice for about six [ 6 ] real-life weeks minimum.
» For each Training Session that is completed, you will earn a set of appropriate skill points.
→ This adds up to twelve [ 12 ] threads that you MUST take part in before earning your warrior name.
» Any miscellaneous threads are encouraged to build relationships with other characters and move the plot along.
Naming Warriors (wrrs)
The lifeblood of the Clan! A warrior loses his or her 'paw suffix to gain their new -- and permanent, if they don't become a leader themselves -- name.
i.e. Graypaw → Graystripe
Please see this thread for warrior naming guidelines; this thread is helpful if you're having problems coming up with names.
The Vigil
→ Once your character receives their warrior name, a vigil post must be posted within twenty-four [ 24 ] RL hours of the actual ceremony.

Leader Naming Ceremonies (ledc)
All leaders must travel to the Moonstone [ in character ] to receive their lives from StarClan. If you don't post, you don't get the lives. PM a Staff Member if there is a personal problem with this rule.
i.e. Problems at home, extended absences, vacation, teachers murdering you with homework.
Receiving Lives (getl)
A staff member will play the StarClan cats who give your character their extra lives. If the staff member you started the thread with is unavailable to post, another staff member can post in their place. After all, they're only NPCs.
Losing Lives (losl)
While in character, the leader blacks out temporarily, visiting StarClan to speak with them. "StarClan" will be played by a staff member.
