» General Terms
- Crowfood / Crow-food: Prey that has begun to rot. May also be used as an insult.
- Cutter: A veterinarian, sometimes - not always - one who spays/neuters cats.
- Dirt: Feces/stool/poop.
- Fresh-kill: Recently caught prey animal for the purpose of consumption.
- Gathering: A term to describe a meeting between the four Clans held every full moon.
- Kittypet: A domesticated house cat.
- Loner: A cat that lives by itself and doesn't mark its territory. Usually friendly.
- Rogue: A cat that lives by itself and intrudes upon Clan territory. Can be hostile.
- Making Dirt: Defecating/using the bathroom.
- Monster: A human vehicle, usually cars.
- Sharing Tongues: The practice of grooming and sharing the latest gossip.
- Silverpelt: Known to us as the Milky Way. Where warriors of StarClan look down upon their surviving Clanmates.
- Thunderpath: Known to us as a road.
- Twoleg: A human.
- Twoleg Kit: A human child.
- Upwalker: Another term for human.
- Nofur: Another term for human.
- Twoleg Nest: A house.
- Twolegplace: A town, city, etc.

- Newleaf: Spring.
- Greenleaf: Summer.
- Leaf-Fall: Fall/Autumn.
- Leaf-Bare: Winter.
- Moon: One month.
- Half-Moon: About two weeks.
- Quarter-Moon: About one week.
- Moonhigh: Around midnight.
- Sunhigh: Around noon.

- Fox-length: About the length of a fox; approx. 1 yard.
- Kitstep / Kittenstep: About the length of a kit's step; approx. 1 inch or 1/2 inch.
- Tail-length: About the length of a cat's tail; approx. 1 foot.
- Rabbit Hop / Rabbit-length: About a foot and 1/2 away.
- Mouse-length: About 2 or 3 inches.
- Pawstep: About the length of a grown cat's step; roughly 6 inches.
- Tree-length: About the length of a tree; around 40 or 50 feet.

As easy as swallowing a minnow: A phrase used to indicate the easiness of a task -- primarily used in RiverClan. As much use as a dead fox: A [ harsh ] insult indicating that the recipient is useless. Bees in your brain: An exclamation meaning confusion or a cat not making any sense. Crowfood: A [ harsh ] insult comparing the recipient to rotting prey or suggesting that they eat it. [ crowfood-eater ] [ You're ] crazier than a fox in a fit!: An insult used when a cat or group of cats is acting crazy. [ You're ] madder than a fox in a fit!: See above. Doesn't matter a whisker: An exclamation meaning a cat doesn't care. Don't give a mousetail: An exclamation meaning a cat doesn't care. Doesn't / didn't catch as much as a whisker: A hunting patrol will be/was unsuccessful. Drypaw: A term usually used in RiverClan to describe cats who don't like to get wet. Like LionClan/TigerClan: An expression stating that a cat did/does something fiercely or well. Flea-brain: A friendly-but-harsh insult. Severity is almost always decided by the tone. Furball: A friendly-but-harsh insult. Severity is almost always decided by the tone. Fuzz-brain: A friendly-but-harsh insult. Severity is almost always decided by the tone. Fishface / Fishfur / Fish-breath: An insult used against RiverClan warriors. Fox-dung: A [ harsh ] insult used to compare the recipient to fox feces. Also used as an exclamation. Frog-dung: Similar to fox-dung. Primarily used in RiverClan and ShadowClan. Fox-hearted: An insult meaning cruel, cold-hearted, or evil. Snake-hearted: Similar to fox-hearted. Primarily used in RiverClan and ShadowClan. Great StarClan!: An exclamation used to express extreme surprise or anger. Very similar to our "Oh my God!". Hedgehogs will fly: An exclamation-style statement that shows disbelief that a certain event will occur. Very similar to our "When pigs fly". How in Silverpelt?: An exclamation meaning "how in the world?". I'd have shredded you into mousedust!: To gravely injure, rip to shreds. Similar to mousemeat. How's the prey running?: A friendly greeting similar to "how are you doing?". Make dirt: Use the bathroom. May StarClan light your path: A friendly term used to tell others they wish them luck. Mouse-brain: A friendly-yet-harsh insult. Severity is almost always decided by the tone. Minnow-brain: Very similar to mouse-brain. Primarily used in RiverClan. Mouse-dung: A somewhat harsh insult comparing the recipient to mouse feces. Also used as an exclamation. Similar to "darn it!". Mouse-hearted: An insult that describes a cat who is cowardly. [ Only ] StarClan knows [ what ]: Sometimes used to answer a question that is difficult or impossible to answer. Similar to "God knows", "Only God knows", etc. Scaredy-mouse!: A cat term for our "scaredy-cat!" insult.. Scaredy-sparrow!: See above. Sorry catches no prey / feeds no bellies: An expression meaning a cat may be sorry, but it doesn't undo what happened. StarClan's kits!: An exclamation of surprise or disbelief. Sometimes used if a cat is hurt. Tabbies don't change their stripes: An expression meaning a cat doesn't change their nature. Equivalent to our, "A leopard doesn't change its spots". What in StarClan's name?: An expression similar to "what in the world?" or "what on earth?". That's a load of badger droppings: A harsh exclamation meaning that something is nonsense. Thistles and thorns: Used to describe bad luck. Frog-dirt and fish-guts: Similar to "thistles and thorns". Primarily used in RiverClan. You fight/hunt like a kittypet!: An expression used to insult or tease a cat that hunts or fights poorly. Who made dirt in his/her fresh kill?: A phrase to describe a cranky or suddenly moody cat. Rabbit-chasers: A less harsh insult used in ShadowClan to describe WindClan.

- Dirtplace: A place near the camp where cats go to urinate or defecate.
- Fresh-kill Pile: A place usually in the center of the camp where warriors drop the prey they catch. Easily accessible to all cats in the Clan.
